If you want an abbreviated version, a refresher, or a new angle on a familiar idea, choose a shorter book or use one of the summary apps available. Don’t blame the author when one can *clearly* ascertain page #s etc before beginning 🙄
“Hot take” on negative book reviews driven solely by the perception that the text is too long: when picking my next read I eval the length of time the book will take to read vs. how long I want to spend THINKING about the topic. Too short = ineffective for imprinting new info.

For many, the hardest part is giving yourself the permission to rest.
While you are taking a break, your competitors may be grinding away. Remember that rest is an investment, something that yields returns & not a sunk cost. You need space to adapt to and soak in your training
Just finished: The Female Persuasion by Meg Wolitzer. Rarely can I get through a book when the author liberally uses “for” instead of “because”. Meg gets a pardon.

Last week, I read “Pavement Pounders and Olympians”, an essay by Jane Jacobs published in the May 1956 issue of Architectural Forum. Yesterday afternoon, I had the opportunity to do a walkabout in Hayes while learning about the art of concept/neighborhood fit for retail. So cool.
Saw someone pitch a similar AI learning tool to replace Blackboard on school campuses - looks like Google is one step ahead. Socratic by Google by Google LLC https://t.co/2ZpGGlTvMy
I had great coaches, who encouraged healthy habits, but aftershocks of an osteopenia diagnosis & 5 stress fractures still affect my training today. We need more female coaches & highly visible, healthy female runners ❤️
This was a long time coming. For years, I felt broken and alone- I waited, yet no one reach out to help.
Now I am ok. But the system isn’t. And I can’t stay silent.
This was hard to share, so thanks @lindsaycrouse & @nytimes for all your support. ❤️
