#ShamelessSelfPromotion in the #WritingCommunity? I would never do such a thing.
My coaching sessions are only £40 each. Half that for the first. Completely unrelated, of course. Oh, and I have 100% customer satisfaction and an impeccable track record.
Completely unrelated, ofc
@DrThomasAG 3) And we see how men do it to each other. They communicate ideas and knowledge, but it is collaberative. It is based in recognising each other as equals.
When women are 'mansplained' to, men act like they are teaching, which is a subtle but real difference.
@DrThomasAG 2) And so, mansplaining isn't actually about the explaining of facts, or even really about communication at all, but the way in which some men see women as being less inherently skilled or knowledgeable.
In my work, I experience these assumptions daily.
@BeansFantastic@MillieCheesey@Bornawoman99@HelenWebberley I'll jump in and say the popular stats cited by the annti-trrans crowds are taken from medical, not social transitions, and includes people who medically detrans but do not socially detrans in addition to people who detrans but non-identity reasons.
@JennaFranzese It will totally miss many problems and highlight many things that aren't problems. I cannot see it being good for that purpose. Anything more than a spelling and grammar check and I wouldn't trust it or advise anyone else do so.
@JennaFranzese But what's being said is that if you need suggestions like from grammarly, you won't have the skills to effectively assess them, and if you do have the skills, you don't need grammarly. And this is under the assumption that it gives good suggestions a decent amount. Which idk
@JennaFranzese Except grammarly is known to give bad advice for creative writing. They are being informed of this. You don't keep taking bad advice because some other sources of advice are bad. Good or not!
@CL_Hilbert This is what I've been saying.
This 'we want to represent diverse voices' line is complete bollocks.
Anything that isn't appealing to them won't 'resonate'. So they want diverse voices, that sound like them.
Guess what?
That isn't diversity
@contactrebecca I began doing my tutoring because LORD are those masterclasses and craft books awful.
They do not help beginners build up a framework one bit
@kalliasdemarco In my (very white) experience, white people are incredibly sanitised.
I've been called strange for happily eating liver, testicles, even just cuttlefish.
I haven't tried balut, but I don't see how it's any different to some flank meat. Looks perfectly tasty.
@chamomeriam I have three
“We have an agreement. We don’t cross The Man With The Lion’s Head Cane. Not even me.”
“You’re lucky I was in. That’s a nice forlorn on your hip. You’re the one Rudigez has been checking on. Correct?”
@byMorganWright I called a guy a simp because he posted pictures of Belle Delphine in a discord server on a regular basis and I want that guy in particular to know that the above post isn't about him
This is the 'submissions' segment for @MushensEnt.
If every #agent made their #querying process as accessible, considerate, and flexible as this, authors would be far less frustrated.
What's more, each agent's page clearly says what they are looking for.
Great job.
