Bahamas recognizes the Republic of Kosovo as a sovereign and independent state! 🇽🇰 🇧🇸

We just signed our bilateral agreement with Prime Minister @honphilipedavis. On behalf of the people of Kosovo, I extend my sincere gratitude for this decision of historic significance!

JOINT STATEMENT
by The Commonwealth of The Bahamas and the Republic of Kosovo on Recognition and the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations

The Commonwealth of The Bahamas and the Republic of Kosovo announce that The Bahamas has recognised the Republic of Kosovo as an independent and sovereign State.

The two countries further announce the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Commonwealth of The Bahamas and the Republic of Kosovo, effective from the date of signature of the Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations, in accordance with international law and the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.  

Both countries affirm their commitment to the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations, including respect for sovereignty, equality of States, and the peaceful settlement of disputes. They agree to advance their relationship on the basis of mutual respect, reciprocity, and constructive engagement.

The Bahamas and Kosovo express their intention to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including political consultation, trade and investment, tourism, education and culture, technology and innovation, public sector cooperation, and people to people exchange, subject to the laws and procedures of each country.

The Bahamas and Kosovo look forward to building a warm and productive partnership that serves the interests of both peoples and contributes to peace and cooperation internationally.

Gjithe tema e buxhetit po tregon nje model te qarte: Papergjegjesi dhe Bllokade totale nga opozita, dhe kjo direkt ne kurriz te qytetareve.

Para se mu votu Glauk Konjufca, Kuvendi pati nje seance te vecante vetem per ti mbyll pikat e hapura te buxhetit. Rendi i dites u organizua qarte dhe me qellim qe secila pike te votohet veq e veq. Opozita ka pas mundesi te plote t’i votoj ato pika qe nuk lidhen me buxhetin e vitit 2026, te cilin ata e quajne antikushtetues. Pra keto ishin pikat:

• Buxheti i Prishtines, Gjilanit dhe Zubin Potokut
• Buxheti i vitit 2026
• Marrveshjet nderkombetare prej 1.1 miliard euro
• Buxheti i RTK

Kjo metode ishte plotesisht ligjore dhe nuk shkel asnje ligj te Republikes se Kosoves. Askush nuk e detyronte opoziten te votonte per buxhetin qendror. Ata kan munjt mi votu vetem ato pika qe prekin komunat, RTK dhe marrveshjet nderkombetare.

Por opozita nuk e boni kete. Me qellim te plote, ata nuk moren pjese ne seance dhe bllokuan buxhetin e komunave, buxhetin e RTK si edhe 1.1 miliard euro marrveshje nderkombetare. Nuk ishte arsye ligjore, ishte vendim i qellimshem politik.

Pasi Glauk Konjufca nuk u zgjodh, Presidentja Vjosa Osmani i mbledhi prap partit para se te shpallte zgjedhjet dhe te shpallte shperndarjen e Kuvendit. Kerkesa ishte shume e qarte: te pakten ti votojn paketat urgjente e buxhetit, qe komunat, punonjesit e shtetit, pensionistet dhe te tjere qe varen nga paga publike te mos futen ne veshtiresi financiare.

Pika me e rendesishme ishte kjo: Albin Kurti u terhoq plotesisht nga buxheti qendror. Ai e hoqi ate nga paketa, vetem qe Kuvendi te votonte vetem tre buxhetet komunale, buxhetin e RTK dhe marrveshjet nderkombetare prej 1.1 miliard euro. Nuk kishte mbetur asnje arsye reale per ta refuzuar.

Megjithate, opozita perseri refuzoi dhe bllokoi edhe kete paket minimale dhe esenciale per vendin.

Pasojat e kesaj bllokade nuk bien mbi partit, por mbi qytetaret. Komunat hyjne ne kriza, projektet ndalen, institucionet ngelen ne veshtiresi financiare. Secili duhet ta dije qarte se kush e ka shkaktuar kete situate: jo qeveria, por opozita qe refuzoi te marre pergjegjesi minimale dhe e bllokoj buxhetin.

Pra te keni kujdes se kujna keni me ja lan voten me 28.12.2025.
