Between 1914 -1973 There was a free train passenger service between Sigatoka , Lautoka & Ba. Tuesdays & Thursdays departing Lautoka for Ba and the rtn Ba to Sigatoka on Mondays & Fridays. There is a tunnel that runs right beneath the sigatoka district school is just one of the surprising treats of this service with spectacular views of hidden beaches & coastline .
