THE WORLD WILL NOT PAUSE TO LISTEN TO YOU.
As much as you can, you should try to break free from some of the habits your parents passed down to you.
Things like blind beliefs, tribalism, bad work ethic and rumour peddling. You are grown now, and adulthood demands a higher standard. Part of that standard is having the courage to ask yourself a difficult question:
Where did my parents get it wrong? What part of my upbringing do I need to throw away?
Once you ask that question, you must also have the honesty to answer it.
And from those answers, you begin the real work of correcting the habits and assumptions that shaped you but should not define you.
Maturity, as I have come to realise, is not merely inheriting your parents’ or society’s worldview; it is having the courage to examine it and the discipline to outgrow it. But more especially, you’re allowed to outgrow the money habits you were raised with.
Your parents did the best they could; now, you have the opportunity to do even better.
Believe and keep going forward
