H.E. Amb. Gakinya hosted a delegation from the Kenya Tourism Rebranding and Repositioning Taskforce currently on a benchmarking visit in the Kingdom of Morocco.
The visit aims to draw practical lessons from Morocco’s tourism transformation, including its branding strategy, destination management systems, and sustained growth in international arrivals, which have now exceeded 20 million visitors annually.
Kenya views Morocco as a key partner in a complementary tourism relationship, where both destinations can strengthen each other rather than compete. This opens space for joint efforts in branding, marketing, hospitality development, air connectivity, and investment promotion; creating richer and more diverse travel experiences across East and North Africa.
This exchange reflects a shared ambition to position Africa as a more integrated, competitive, and globally attractive tourism destination.
