Community Rights Campaigner, Human/Environmental Rights Activist, Environmental Field Monitor (documenting oil industry induced pollution in the Niger Delta)
@aonanuga1956 How many First Class has Nigeria produced as Presidential candidates. What was the educational qualification of Buhari or Shagari and, even Obasanjo and Tinibu?
#Oandomostcurrentoilspill along Ogboinbiri/Tebidaba pipeline at Ogboinbiri, Southern Ijaw local government area of Bayelsa state; spreading and impacting several communities on Apoi Creek: Keme-ebiama, Kokologbene,Apoi, Gbaraun,Ukubie, Louis, etc.
#January2012protest during the nationwide Anti-fuel Subsidy removal protest; we watched in shock how police provided protection for those in support of Subsidy removal on the Streets/Roads of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital; while denying those against the removal of Subsidy.
We ended up with this when the police prevented us from marching on the streets/roads of Yenagoa while the same security agencies escorted those protesting in favour of fuel Subsidy removal, in January 2012. Sadly, none of the 4 Refineries have been reactivated since 2012.
#AsfightagainstbunkeringandBushRefineriescontinues in the Niger Delta; more pollution even as experts observed life expectancy is lowest in the Niger Delta than other regions in Nigeria. This is both land and atmospheric hydrocarbon pollution.
The military authorities should in Nigeria should do the needful, as sad and bad as killing soldiers is; no innocent law-abiding citizen should be made to suffer for the crime of others. Culprits should be fished out and made to face the law of the land.
Unaddressed social and environmental injustices in the Niger Delta, especially Bayelsa State...as it relates to oil industry induced pollution and abandonment of host communities even as Shell shelled and left only shells behind the premier commercial oilfield,Oloibiri Oilfield.
@CFCEra___ She will meet her match as she continues on the path of getting it between her legs for highest bidder. And, I hope she won't cry foul oooo...reaping what she sow
#paddlingacrossthetaylorcreek in Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa state at the confluence of River Nun and Taylor Creek. Once the ongoing long abandoned Polaku/Sabagreia Road (sponsored by the State government) is completed; crossing by ferry would cease here.
#sailing in the Creeks of the Niger Delta, 25th May, 2024. The resources of the Niger Delta, crude oil and gas, has made the avaricious folks of the world to deny us the peace we once savoured. Longing for the return of genuine and enduring peace and development.
#pollutionbayelsa Most recent crude oil spill/fire impacted environment is Bayelsa state, in the Niger Delta of Nigeria...from Shell's pipeline. Even with modern devices which enables you to work from the office as an Environmentalist; practically being in the field is key.
@MicroSmoothie Yes, it is and it cannot be allowed to be obliterated by the Federal Government and haters of the Niger Delta, especially Ijaw people. We shall continue to bring up such issues, expose to the world how the Nigerian state has no sense of history and tourism
@ The location once known as "Kugbo Loading Bay", first crude oil export terminal in Nigeria and entire West Africa. Crude oil was transported via pipes from the Oloibiri oilfield to load Mv.Emago, MV. Otuogidi, MV. Otuabagi, etc here for export in the 1950s, early 1960s.
