Russia warned that Türkiye's planned transfer of US-origin weapons to Ukraine would cause "serious damage" to Moscow's relations with both Ankara and Washington.

The package includes 12 M270 MLRS launchers, 70 ATACMS missiles, and thousands of cluster munition rounds — containing over 10 million submunitions — from Türkiye's Cold War-era stockpiles worth roughly $260 million.

The US State Department is prepared to approve the deal.

Russia has requested explanations from both capitals, saying supplying weapons while claiming a mediator role "inevitably undermines mutual trust."
