MB Fire, MB Harbor Fire Boats, with mutual aid from SLO County Fire responded to a commercial fire at the 800 blk of Embarcadero at 10:42 am. Fire found in abandoned elevator shaft in a basement. The Embarcadero was closed for 2 hours between Harbor and Pacific which is now open
MB Firefighter Paramedics responded last pm at 11:40 to a 60’ fishing boat off our South T-Pier for a devastating partially amputated hand caused by an illegal mortar that was shot off the 60’ boat. Illegal fireworks are extremely dangerous, a $1,000 fine when used in Morro Bay.
The weather in Morro Bay will be great! PLEASE leave your fireworks at home. To protect our community and environment, we will issue $1,000 citations for first time offenders. NO fireworks on public property including our beaches, parks, and parking lots. Happy 4th.
