@ChancesCards Readings and Bluffing only works against people who have a brain.
Against fish, LAGs and calling stations, you get Called.
Those people don't know where the Fold button is.
In poker, your real competition isn't other players.
It's:
- your ego
- your self doubt
- your procrastination
- your lack of discipline
- the processed foods you eat
- the study routine you fail to follow
It's time to crush the real competition.
@DanielSternald@GGPoker Thanks for sharing your story. That's how we learn together. I also make mistakes, each one makes me a better poker player. And to lose against 52o is frustrating, but variance is part of what we signed up for. Keep grinding and doing your best, always having fun. Cheers ๐ฅ๐
@DanielSternald@GGPoker Yeah, inducing cost you the tournament. Always consider the meta game. 2k bounty? I call with 82o there. I'll induce you myself to take your bounty, since my stack won't be hurt. Shove it in their face, next time โ and GG, nice run ๐

Tournament started 5 minutes ago at @GGPoker
First hand I'm playing
No villain history
...
What are you doing here? ๐ค
Villain open EP, cbet 50% F oop, xc 30% T, XJ Ovb R
AK? AA? KK? 22? 54s?
Missed flush? KQs?
What would you do?
@gazelligpoker Have good PreFlop heuristics: polar/linear ranges, suited connectors LP, play BTN agressively, tight in the SB, 50/50 BB.
Adapt PostFlop: bet/stack size, board texture/dynamics, villain/our range, nut/equity advantage.
Ask: What does this mean?
Fold good hands.
Decisions matter.
@dwj3789 So, here's your strats:
A: Call and hope to dodge an AK flop, and hope villain doesn't have AA/KK
B: Call and hope villain doesn't shove, if he does, you just leave 1/6 of your stack on the table
Since Poker is about winning chips, here's strat C:
Fold and wait 4 a better spot!
