you know I always get comforted whenever I remember that actors aren’t their characters but then I remember that the guy playing the mystery man was accused to have killed his wife
A scene from The Alphabet (1968), which is a short film by David Lynch that was born out of a literal nightmare.
Lynch was inspired after his wife, Peggy Lynch, informed him about her young niece who used to have disturbing dreams where she continued to repeat the alphabet in her sleep.
Lynch turned that moment a surreal short film in which the alphabet becomes a mad and frightening experience. Interestingly, the bed-ridden woman in the nightmare is portrayed by Peggy Lynch herself.
