Life has been busy, hard, complicated, and frustrating lately, so here's a #MortMonday on a #MortMuesday. Mort and I are thankful for your support, and want to wish you the happiest of Valentine's Days.
Please enjoy this v-card from him to you.
Everything's still very very placeholder, buggy, and ugly! While there's no music in it yet, I'm happy that @SwanyardRetford is going to work with me yet again.
You can download the tech demo for free here: https://t.co/WmdRTY2P36
I'm Happy to introduce Mort's Dream Jump, a platformer featuring @MortStory with bite-sized levels filled with movement based powerups. It's only 8 days in development, but I'm excited to share a 9 level tech demo with y'all on @itchio.
Happy Friday everyone! Let's celebrate the weekend with a new 9-level demo of Mort's Dream Jump.
I've been working on this for seven days now, but I'm pretty excited with the progress!

Added a glider to Mort's Dream Jump (name subject to change).
You can speed up or slow down by pressing either direction, or jump out of it, or drop out of it with down.
Also added a basic input display for streamers/speedrunners.

Here's a sunday surprise for y'all:
Download the first build of my @MortStory Platformer on the Mokuzai Studio Discord. It's got five basic levels and some obnoxious sound effects, but I think it's kinda fun to play already!

Jetlag hasn't been terribly kind to @thatsmytrunks, so he started putting together some more stuff.
Moving platforms, one way playforms, the ability to switch active powerup, combine powerups, and now the omnimover works properly.
While @thatsmytrunks is developing Mort Story, he's also tinkering with a small Mort platformer with a focus on small, single screen stages instead of your classic linear stages.
Here's the results of tonight's tinkering.
I'm still in Japan for a few more days so I don't have a proper #MortMonday, but here's some cafe doodles.
It's fun to mess around with this fun boy. I actually looked to some of the other #MortMonday posts to get some thoughts on his shape for different poses.
