While this looked at the horrific performance and massive waste of govt's 40+ UPCCs, they're just the start of the massive takeover of primary care.
Someone should be investigating the performance of:
• 92 Primary Care Networks
• 15 Community Health Centres
• 14 First Nations-led Primary Care Centres
• 3 Nurse Practitioner Primary Care Centres

We need a new position in B.C. — Minister of Health.
Someone responsible for managing the health system and accountable for its performance.
This would be distinguished from the Minister of Health Public Relations, which is what we have now.

@markroseman@SpecialistsBc@DoctorsOfBC I have said this for many years now…”The mismanagement of a $39 Billion Healthcare Budget” is continuing a B.C. Healthcare Crisis! Longitudinal Care has always been the answer and our Family Doctors should be listened to. Listen to our Medical Professionals!!
I wonder how @SpecialistsBc (who along with rest of @DoctorsOfBC are currently voting on ratification of the next PMA outlining their fees) feel about this.
Government throws hundreds of millions at UPCC's, yet the health care delivered pales in comparison with alternatives.
Caught up with BC Conservative leadership candidate @yuri_fulmer at his office in downtown Vancouver today.
We discussed all the major issues facing British Columbians, and much more!

BC hydro has changed the rules when it comes to home solar. It’s most unfortunate. The payback time has gone from about 8 years to 20 ish for me. Kinda kills the ROI for solar in BC.
I’ve been a huge advocate for solar. Probably not worth it now.
Despite the propaganda from @Dave_Eby and @Josie_Osborne, this is the reality for too many people. No access to health care. And realistically, even if you get in, the odds of getting actual health care out of it aren't great. Way to go BC, lots more lipstick for that pig.
On this day in 1939, Hotel Vancouver opened.
One of Canada's Grand Railway Hotels, it was the third hotel in the city to use the name "Hotel Vancouver. The hotel is 17 floors and was the tallest building in Vancouver until the TD Tower was built in 1972.

@DonnieandDhali Great show Guys!
Donnie we both grew up in Burnaby, me in the 60’s and 70’s. Question:
Would the Boston Bruins ever have considered trading Bobby Orr back then? No way.
So why have our Canucks traded Quinn Hughes who I have always said is Bobby Orr(esk)? We had Quinn for 7yrs!
Four Memorial Cup appearances. Two championships. More than 100 players coached to the NHL. And a presence in BC hockey that can never be replaced.
Ernie “Punch” McLean was one of a kind — a legend of the game who gave everything to this province and to the players lucky enough to call him coach.
Rest easy, Punch. Thank you for the memories, the lessons, and the legacy you leave behind.
BC hockey will never forget you. 💙
“I’ve never seen this level on ineptitude and incompetence.”
Former legal council for the BC Attorney generals office who’s been advising government on First Nations law for more than 30 years can’t believe what he’s seeing.
An absolute indictment of the NDP's management of healthcare in BC.
Peace Arch Hospital is closing its maternity ward.
Again.
For the 11th time in just a few months.
And Peace Arch isn't alone. Hospitals across BC keep shutting down services because of NDP mismanagement.
NDP insiders are pocketing six-figure contracts for part-time work.
We're carrying the highest debt and deficit in provincial history.
And what are you getting for it?
Longer waits.
Worse services.
More closures.
