💀 The celebration of Día De Los Muertos or the Day of the Dead dates back to pre-colonial traditions observed by several indigenous people and continues to be celebrated today by many around the world.
It is both a celebration of death and of life, and one in which those who came before us are celebrated and remembered. While many of the celebratory traditions are vibrant and full of life, there is deep respect and honor given to those that have been lost but not forgotten.

👉Delaware County voters may check the status of their Vote-by-Mail ballot application with the Pennsylvania Department of State's Election Ballot Status tool, accessible through Delco Votes!
🗳️Each voter should place the voted mail-in/absentee ballot in the secrecy ballot provided, seal it, and then place that secrecy envelope in the larger return envelope. Once the return envelope is sealed, one should be sure to sign and date the declaration on the return envelope.
Those resources include the Delaware County Election Hotline (610) 891-VOTE, election related services at The Voter Service Center, which is located on the first floor of the Government Center Building, at 201 W. Front Street, in Media.

🏳️🌈History helps us understand the world around us, allowing us to recount the past and plan for the future. From written, to oral tales, history is the very fabric of the human experience in which we must not only vow to preserve, but vow to continue to speak, write and share.
October is LGBTQ+ history month, and I encourage all to take the time to read about those of the LGBTQ+ community who have contributed to the world in all rooms and at all tables.
