My heart is heavy over the horrific reports coming out of the Oriire School, Oyo state. The brutal killing and reported beheading of a teacher while innocent students remain in captivity is heartbreaking, painful, and completely unacceptable. No society should allow its schools to become grounds for terror. Our children deserve safety. Our teachers deserve protection. Our communities deserve peace.

I commend the efforts and actions taken so far by the Oyo State Government in responding to this tragic situation. However, I strongly urge the Federal Government and all relevant security agencies to also swing fully into action by providing every necessary support, intelligence, and assistance needed to secure the safe rescue of the victims and prevent further loss of lives.

We cannot become numb to these tragedies. Human lives are precious, and leadership must respond with urgency, compassion, and decisive action. Every passing moment increases the pain and fear these families are enduring.

My thoughts and prayers remain with the victims, their families, and the entire community during this painful time.

As a mother myself, I understand the sacrifices, strength, prayers, and endless love that motherhood requires.

Today, I celebrate every mother who continues to give so much of herself for her children, family, and community. Your care shapes homes, builds values, and strengthens society in ways words can never fully express.

During the weekend, I took a defining step in this journey by picking up my nomination form to contest for the Oyo South Senatorial District under the PDP.

I am humbled to stand as a voice for progress, inclusion, and purposeful leadership. This is not just about me, it is about opening doors for women, empowering our youth, and building a future where every community is seen, heard, and supported.

My commitment is clear. To champion economic opportunities for our traders, artisans, and farmers, strengthen education and skills for our young people, improve access to quality healthcare, and advocate for better infrastructure across Oyo South.
