Many people don’t know this, but the crossed-arms “X” signal is FIFA’s universal gesture for reporting racist abuse.
When a player, coach, or team official makes that signal, they’re informing the referee that racist abuse has occurred. It is meant to trigger FIFA’s three-step anti-racism protocol: first stop the match, then suspend it if the abuse continues, and ultimately abandon the match if it doesn’t stop.
Today, Egypt manager Hossam Hassan made the “X” gesture from the touchline. Instead of initiating the protocol, the referee booked Hassan with a yellow card and allowed play to continue.
NEW | Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan:
🔴Anyone who does not feel the suffering of the Palestinian people has lost their humanity.
🔴It is a disgrace that the Palestinian people have been left alone, forced to live in tents while enduring unimaginable humanitarian suffering.
🔴The killing of thousands of children and women is deeply heartbreaking, as Palestinians continue to face disease, hunger, and harsh living conditions.
🔴Let the Palestinian people live in peace. Raising the Palestinian flag was a message of solidarity and justice for this people.
WOW!
🇪🇬 Egypt coach Hossam Hassan has just given an impassioned 5 minute speech on Palestine and the "injustice they are going through" and how whatever happens at the World Cup pales in comparison with how poorly the world has reacted to the situation.
Rapturous applause from Egyptian journalists.

The beautiful country of Lebanon, the most Christian in the Middle East, is currently getting demolished by the usual suspects and westerners do not care because the screen told them brown people are terrorists.
I would have never expected that with my calligraphic works, especially in Arabic, I would ever manage to exhibit in a church in Italy, yet here is my latest solo exhibition, “Per Andare Oltre” at the Abbey of San Paolo d’Argon.

Tim Dillon: Peter Thiel and Sam Altman are summoning an ancient Sumerian demon with AI
“It’s a demonic force that’s going to take form through artificial intelligence.”
“These people believe they’re communicating with some ancient Sumerian deity.”
“I have sources on this.”
“In their minds … if China unleashes the AI demon before we unleash our American AI demon … then that demon will enslave the world and they’ll make all the money and they’ll have all the geopolitical leverage.”
“So in this AI arms race, the US and China are both racing to give birth to an ancient Sumerian super intelligent demon.”
“There’s an ancient Sumerian god that Sam Altman and Peter Thiel are communicating with.”
“They’re gonna give birth to an AI demon.”
“And we have to do it before China does.”

This was Saleh, the dreamer, the one most of us never had the honor of seeing.
He had dreams like everyone else in Gaza. He was a ranked player in table tennis. He loved to sing and made songs before and during the genocide. He memorized all 600 pages of the Quran and loved Islam and he loved God. He was a Youtuber who started his journey on Youtube back in 2020 where he vlogged his life, added his songs, and showed the beauty of Gaza.
Saleh Aljafarawi, for 27 years of his life, lived under a brutal occupation whose only mission was to kill more Palestinians and steal more Palestinian land.
For two years, he starved with his people as he reported on limbless and bloody dead children, night and day. He ran towards airstrikes. He ran towards blood.
Saleh’s name in Arabic means “virtuous” and “righteous.” What a virtuous and righteous man this world has lost. He woke up millions of people to the ugliness of the ethnic cleansing of Palestine, and the greed and evil that runs our world.
He died telling the truth. Western journalists live to tell lies.
Palestine is bigger than just Palestine. Palestine is for every person who believes in freedom.
Saleh’s death will not be in vain. Glory be to the martyrs. Free Palestine. Free us all.
