The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has decided to postpone the World Teams Championship 2022 to November 2022. The rights to host the tournament are retained by the Israeli Chess Federation.

The ceremonial first move of the Belgrade #FIDEGrandPrix was made in the Rapport - Fedoseev game by Dragan Lazic, president of the Serbian Chess Federation, and Vanja Udovicic, Minister for Sport in the Government of Serbia and one of the world’s most famous water polo players.
