Pre-exposure prophylaxis commonly known as PrEp is a drug used in the prevention of HIV/AIDS in working to keep the virus from establishing permanent infection
@Comm3724Thabane Very interesting observation. By all I merely intended afoul those that are sexually active take I didn’t think to include other types of people.
This actually coincides with the #PrEp initiative as there should be drives put in place to give people that are the most vulnerable to HIV infection medication such as PrEP to keep them protected and aware of the reproductive rights.
Transgender people have been identified as one of the most at risk for HIV, STIs and TB.
Given the barriers that they are faced with, will they be able to get assistance with their respective health concerns?
There is a high chance that they won't be assisted.

@MotsakeComm3724 The film didn’t leave any room for imagination but I am of the unpopular opinion that culture should be allowed to evolve and maybe it’s okay that is it now known what happens there.
I say this with the most discretion and respect to the Xhosa culture and it’s people.
A popular question about the use of #PrEP is if it can effectively prevent HIV infection when used correctly should one not cancel out condoms?
the answer is NO !
#PrEP does not protect against other STDs as well as unwanted pregnancies.
