I also urged the NRM Secretariat to seriously sensitizing our people on Available NRM programs that alleviate poverty to do so.
To all Ugandans above 18 years, elect a committee that is agreeable and engage in the Parish Development Model. Access the funds and follow them up. We must all enter the money economy, including the remaining 30% still outside.
Mwebare nnyo Bazzukulu.
I thank God for this victory and for all the victories He has given us over the last 55 years since 1971. We have been in the struggles for a long time and God has always granted us success.
In this new Kisanja, I encourage Members of Parliament to support the budget by putting the livelihoods of our people first rather than increasing salaries or creating more districts. Their focus should be to start with the Parish Development Model and wealth funds.
Maama and I presided over the 15th Annual Tarehe Sita Thanksgiving Breakfast at Mbuya Headquarters, organised by the UPDF. I congratulate everyone on marking 45 years since we began the resistance at Kabamba.
I reminded the gathering that, as written in Genesis, man was created in the image of God and given the ability to think, create and exercise dominion over nature under God’s guidance. Success comes through hard work and faith in God, not prayer alone.
I thank CDF Muhoozi for reminding us about the historical role of the NRA and the importance of honouring the sacrifices of those who participated in the struggle.
We have also secured land to build a museum that will preserve the history of the resistance for future generations.

H.E. the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Gen. @KagutaMuseveni and the First Lady, Hon. @JanetMuseveni, are currently presiding over the 15th Annual Tarehe Sita Thanksgiving Breakfast at the @MODVA_UPDF Headquarters.
The event, organized by the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs (MODVA) and the UPDF, is being held under the theme: “Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; then you will be prosperous and successful.” — Joshua 1:8.
I launched Tamini General Insurance at Lugogo during the Iftar dinner organised by Ms. Namyalo Uzeiye and the NRM Office of the National Chairman.
Tamini is Uganda’s first Islamic insurance firm. I welcome their model of mutual assistance, interest-free borrowing and risk sharing, in partnership with Salaam Bank. This is not something strange; it is our traditional way (omukwato). Borrow, but borrow for production, not for consumption.
This insurance will also be accessible to low-income earners, which is very important. I welcome Tamini and the Salaam Group. Uganda is profitable, and our growing population provides a big market.
Maama Janet and I welcomed Maama Anna Mkapa who paid us a courtesy call at State House Entebbe.
We had warm and cordial discussions and reflected on the historical bonds between Uganda and Tanzania. I welcome her to Uganda.
President @KagutaMuseveni and the First Lady, also the Minister of Education and Sports, Maama @JanetMuseveni yesterday hosted the second edition of Jazz with Jajja at their Kisozi farm in Gomba District.
The event brought together a number of content creators, journalists, digital entrepreneurs, and social media influencers for a deep reflection on Uganda’s economic transformation and national values.
Today, I met with the High Command of the UPDF to review our security situation and the strategic priorities of our country.
I thank the CDF and all officers & Men of the UPDF and commend them for their discipline, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to safeguarding Uganda’s peace and sovereignty. Our stability is built on vigilance, unity, and patriotism.
We shall continue strengthening our defence capacity to ensure that Uganda remains secure and focused on social and economic transformation.
I met Abebe Selassie of the International Monetary Fund and informed him that the correct line for Uganda is value addition, peace and security, and open markets. However, we must deal with the high costs of transport, electricity and money, and discourage the externalization of profits so that they are reinvested here. The center of gravity of our economy is agriculture and manufacturing, and we must deliberately support them.
Wishing the Muslim community a blessed month of Ramadan filled with peace, spiritual growth and togetherness. May the period inspire more acts of kindness and generosity towards one another. #RamadanKareem
I was pleased to meet His Eminence Emmanuel Wamala and commend him for his contribution to faith and social transformation in Uganda. We agreed that government will support his family foundation’s Kamagwa Hospital, while it remains a private facility, and that the Ministry of Tourism will support the establishment of a museum to preserve his legacy. At his request, I accepted to serve as Patron of the project. I wish him good health and God’s blessings as he marks 99 years.
Ali Saleh Al-Swayeh, Chairman of the Saudi-Uganda Business Council and Chairman of Injaz Global Group, together with his delegation from Saudi Arabia, are welcome to Uganda. Their interest in investing is timely, particularly in value addition and processing of dairy and coffee, where we have abundant raw materials. Plans in the medical field and food production for human and animal consumption, including exports to Saudi Arabia, are also commendable. Government will allocate them an industrial park to support these investments.
President @KagutaMuseveni and the First Lady Hon. @JanetMuseveni, are attending the ongoing 49th commemoration of St. Janani Luwum Day at Mucwini, Kitgum District.
The President and the First Lady have laid wreaths at the final resting place of St. Janani Luwum in honour of his unwavering faith, courage and sacrifice for truth and justice.
Maama Janet and I joined Christians in Wii-Gweng, Mucwini (Kitgum) to mark 49 years since the martyrdom of Janani Luwum.
Idi Amin’s mistake was ruling by force and killings. Leadership must be through persuasion and good works, not intimidation.
The NRM has always believed in persuasion through action. Even when support in Northern Uganda was low, we extended electricity, built and upgraded health centres, and improved the road network. In the end, our people said: “NRM maber.” Apwoyo for the overwhelming support in the just concluded election.
We shall build a befitting memorial for Janani Luwum and decisively address cattle rustling in East Acholi.
Apwoyo Northern Uganda.
