Jack D. Quillin, the individual behind the Los Angeles–based news account @LAScanner, later rebranded as @JackQuillinTV on X, has been arrested following months of controversy involving posts about federal agents. Quillin had previously urged followers to send him photos and real-time locations of ICE agents during active operations in Los Angeles, including the hotels where agents were staying. Multiple posts explicitly instructed users, “IF YOU SEE ICE DM US A PIC ALONG WITH THE LOCATION.” The posts sparked widespread backlash and accusations of doxxing, with critics warning that the disclosures could endanger federal officers amid ongoing protests. Following the controversy, Quillin briefly deactivated the account before later reactivating it.

Six months after the posts went viral that was reported by @insiderwire Quillin was arrested Yesterday while flying into Los Angeles. He is currently being held at the Ventura County Sheriff’s Jail.
