🚨 Arrest Made – Crime Spree Suspect in Custody

A suspect linked to a crime spree has been taken into custody by @NassauCountyPD. This crime spree included Grand Theft Auto (#GTA); stolen bicycles & expensive scooters; and hundreds of 🚗 break-ins, during which some very expensive valuables have been stolen from within.

This excellent collaboration between RNSP (Rockaway Nassau Shomrim) and @NassauCountyPD 4th precinct detectives led to the arrest.

The excellent #collaboration between the RNSP (Rockaway Nassau Shomrim) Search & Rescue Team, @NassauCountyPD 4th Precinct, @NYPD101Pct, @NYPDMissing, @NYPDSpecialops, @longbeachpd, @ShomrimofQueens, @NassauExec, @LongBeach11561, @LawrenceVillage, @atlbeachrescue, @LBNYFireDept, @pllfd, Nassau County Bridge Authority, and @HempsteadTown Parks and Recreation resulted in a #SpecialCatagory #MissingPerson being located and safely reunited with his loved ones.

This is another example of various entities that serve the #community working together to meet the needs of the #community.

The excellent work by @NassauCountyPD Homicide Squad resulted in #OneUnder for vehicular manslaughter regarding the motor vehicle accident on Branch Blvd in Woodmere that caused the untimely passing of Moshe Kreindler of blessed memory.

In today's day and age, high-tech cameras are key tools in ensuring public safety. Neighbors can band together to help keep our #community safe by sponsoring an RNSP camera to be situated at key locations around the #community, such as on certain blocks, at key intersections, near schools or houses of worship, or at particular locations within a business district.

It is important to note that camera footage played a key role in the arrest mentioned above.

While the the rain caused the Annual @LawrenceVillage / @ourcedarhurst Memorial Day Parade to be canceled, the RNSP (Rockaway Nassau Shomrim) was glad to participate in a meaningful ceremony at @ourcedarhurst Village Hall, where we paid tribute to our country's fallen soldiers and living war veterans.

The RNSP was humbled to be in the presence of our community's American heroes and grateful for this opportunity to give honor to their service.

Reads Lane will be closed to vehicular traffic stretching from Empire Ave to Cedar Hill Rd. Please avoid the area and surrounding side streets during the hours of the event. Please also refer to the attached flyer outlining the #FrozenZone. No vehicle should be parked on Reads Lane between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 17th. It is advised to park your cars in your driveways if you reside within the frozen zone.

The RNSP (Rockaway Nassau Shomrim) presented at #RollCall to the brave men and women of the @NYPD116Pct, alongside Chief Richie Taylor of @NYPDCommAffairs and @AchiezerFR_5T President, Rabbi Baruch B. Bender.

It was especially meaningful to present in the same building where the late @NYPDDetectives CRT unit, Jonathan Diller used to work. We are pleased that the perpetrator who killed him has been sentenced to 115 years behind bars.

As far as the officers of @NYPD116Pct, they stand ready to protect and serve with distinction, working hand in hand with any and all #CommunityPartners who share that mission. The RNSP thanks @NYPD116Pct Commanding Officer, Captain Damell Simon for the opportunity to present to the officers under his charge.
