Here is the truth.
If we succeeded to create a Capable State as we promised the people almost two decades ago, we would not be spending R600m to clean up our failures.
And it took painfully betrayed citizens to force the government to act on the illegal immigration issue that was easily foreseen. I published an OP-ED on it in 2017 in Thought Leader.
Nobody in the ANC leadership cared to read it.
ANC leadership are an uncaring lot. Period.
Now @DrMashobaADieta
And @JacintaNgobese are giving them sleepless nights.
Fact is:
No illegal immigrant must be allowed to remain in South Africa. Period.
The law must take its course. No nation can afford to turn a blind eye to illegal immigration, for it undermines the very foundation of justice and order. To stand against illegal immigration is not to stand against immigrants; it is to defend the rule of law, protect national integrity, and ensure fairness for all who follow the legal path.
Dear @CyrilRamaphosa
We the CITIZENS of the Republic of South Africa call on you, @DIRCO_ZA and @GovernmentZA to AMEND the constitution and WITHDRAW from the 1951 UN Refugees Convention.
We will not be bullied in our own country.
Regards
@sacr_official1
If South African laws are no longer regulatory but rather suggestions, they should let us know. Itโs the constitution you gave us that said illegal immigration is unlawful.
@PrincaBlack Yheeey! I met a mayor of one of the African cities in Singapore last week. He had very strong views and thinks he is entitled to have views about us and how we should conduct ourselves for their comfort. I took every ounce of energy I had to tell him where to get off
There are thousands of young people in South Africa struggling with drug addiction. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers, and consider joining the fight against drugs in any form. The very people who must carry this country forward are being lost to addiction, and we cannot afford to remain silent. Morena boloka sechaba sa geshu
South Africa is learning the tough lesson all Venusians have to learn at some point: being too nice and too lax with your boundaries (borders) invites disrespect. They don't appreciate you more. Instead, they take advantage and they won't stop until you learn to say no.
The hate for South Africa is forced and manufactured by the same people who are mad that Black South African are taking back control of their country since apartheid ended in 1994.
When the Ghana must go Campaign happen in Nigeria that kicked out one million Ghanaian, no international outrage. The narrative was, โtheyโre doing whatโs best for their countryโ.
Why doesnโt that same logic apply to South Africa?
As a Black American I stand with South Africa.
I foresee Bafana Bafana redeeming themselves in the upcoming matches, but only if Hugo Broos abandons his defensive approach. South Africa has players who can attack, yet they are often forced to sit back and absorb pressure. If Broos continues to park the bus, Bafana's biggest opponent might not be the teams they face, it could be his own tactics. โฝ๏ธ๐ฟ๐ฆ๐ฟ๐ฆ๐ฟ๐ฆ๐ฟ๐ฆ
