@sudsofsplash The reliability of this tool isnt super universal i agree, but when it says something was generated with its own tools, its pretty accurate in guaging that its right. Going off of it alone isnt productive, but it helps to stack evidence like in this case

@sudsofsplash This is not like other AI detectors that just analyze an image poorly and go off of AI "tells," it's an algorithm that searches for its OWN watermark that it placed there itself. The only way to really reliably get a false negative out of it would be to do it intentionally

for those who don't know, SynthID is an invisible watermark left by OpenAI. detection has a 0.1% false positive rate. Meaning its near impossible to have a positive result show up on your artwork if you didn't use AI

And yeah you could say "well children should be way more monitored when it comes to the internet" and you'd be right but it doesnt fix the issue because its gonna happen regardless. but ideally they shouldnt be running into dark fiction by interacting with like .. my little pony

just look at how the "great artists" of the #deltarune fandom make their art. they don’t need sketches or anything else, all they need is 3 layers and an art file created 2 DAYS AFTER the art was posted on x. why can't u do the same? it's so easy!!
