The abduction of the Chibok girls in 2014 triggered a global movement. One school abduction was enough to unite Nigerians, attract international attention, and place enormous pressure on the government through the #BringBackOurGirls campaign.
Yet, what has happened since then should trouble every Nigerian.
Under President Buhari's eight years in office, Nigeria witnessed about ten school abductions. Under President Tinubu's administration, in just three years, we have already recorded over ten school abductions.
Despite these repeated tragedies, there has been neither sustained national outrage nor significant international attention comparable to what followed Chibok.
This raises an important question: have we become so accustomed to insecurity that what once shocked our national conscience is now treated as normal?
At a time when millions of Nigerians are grappling with insecurity, poverty, and hardship, it is deeply troubling that those in power appear more focused on political calculations and preparations for the next election than on addressing the urgent challenges confronting our people.
It is, therefore, no surprise that some observers have labelled us a "Now Disgraced Nation". While we do not agree with any attempt to define our great country by its present difficulties, we must acknowledge that persistent insecurity, economic hardship, and leadership failure have damaged our reputation and standing among nations.
The answer is not denial, propaganda, or political distraction. The answer is leadership that is competent, compassionate, accountable, and genuinely committed to the welfare and security of the Nigerian people.
The Nigerian youth must not become indifferent. We must all refuse to normalise failure.

Peter Obi took questions at the Africa Business Club Conference as well. It was a full session & he held his audience spellbound. You can see his obvious agility, gravitas, & sharpness. This is the type of 21st century president you need.
@firstladyship You are on point. During the US–Israel–Iran conflict, there was an incident where a U.S. F-15E crew ejected after their aircraft was shot down, and what followed was a highly coordinated rescue operation. The government of Nigeria is just looking like it was imported from hell
Today in Abuja, I had a breakfast meeting with some diplomats that included, the British High Commissioner to Nigeria and his Colleagues from European Union, Germany, Canada, and France. It was an enriching discussion on relationships. -PO
Chibok.
The FG gave an order that schools should be shut down in that area.
The state government led by Shettima opened the school without informing the FG and without taking measures.
Guess what, nobody blamed Shettima. GEJ was blamed all through.
I never see this kain thing before.
Person wey no dey in Power, turn those in Power to opposition.

Nothing APC Never do to slow the motion…Peter Obi go just say Akuko!

Goodevening Directionless @OfficialDSSNG …. Please who’s next??? If only I could just sleep and wake up when Tinubu is gone…country is literally upside down💔
"How can just a political aide have access to Emeka Ike's data? If a political aide can access such information, then imagine what politicians themselves can access.
As far as I'm concerned, the 2027 election is already tainted. Let's stop deceiving ourselves. If they have access to your database, then we have a serious problem.
We should even thank God that it was a political aide who exposed this. If it were an ordinary Nigerian who released such information, security operatives would have invited that person for investigation by now."
— Rufai Oseni reacts to the release of Emeka Ike's data by Wike's aide, Lere Olayinka.
Excellent performance is wayyyy cheaper than rigging
Just a fraction of the monies spent coercing followers would have delivered good governance and the good will needed for a sure return to office
Teachers have been kidnapped in Oyo State, not in the North as we’ve sadly grown used to, but in Oyo, just a few hours from Lagos. The same Lagos that produced Tinubu. This insecurity is far closer than many think. If we remain silent, it will soon silence all of us.
Politicians must stop playing politics with Nigerian lives. We deserve better.
Free our teachers. Free our children.

“Kidn@ppers are not just holding those children without sponsors. Do you know the kind of work DSS does? They can track and arrest you anywhere. Out of anger, I said I wouldn’t vote, but I will vote because it is my right. I want to appeal to INEC and the judiciary not to disappoint Nigerians, because they have disappointed us before, including under a former INEC chairman.”
– Pastor David Ibiyeomie
Dear Nigerians,
THERE IS FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN!
