With the support of the @ifrc, and in collaboration with the @_JNRCS, a four-day intensive training course for volunteers from the Irbid branch was concluded as part of the Aligning Water Opportunities for Peace project, with support from KOICA.

The training focused on the principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, as well as the Jordan Red Crescent Society’s programmes supporting local communities and refugees. It also aimed to build volunteers’ skills in communication, data collection, and community assessment, equipping them to lead awareness campaigns on water conservation and the protection of water resources.

The course concluded with a field day that included home visits and focus group discussions, aimed at strengthening community engagement and promoting a culture of water peace towards a sustainable water future.

As the full extent of the damage and official casualty figures begin to emerge following the devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck central Myanmar, @MyanmarRedCross teams are racing against time to provide critical support.

Despite damage to their own offices and infrastructure, @MyanmarRedCross volunteers have mobilized rapidly—rescuing survivors, providing pre-hospital care including first aid and distributing emergency shelter materials.
