This is Jadav "Molai" Payeng, also known as the "Forest Man of India." He embodies the incredible ability of a single person to profoundly impact the world.

Starting in 1979, he planted bamboo seedlings daily for a span of over 30 years, single-handedly transforming a barren sandbar into a man-made forest reserve of roughly 1,400 acres. The forest Molai Kathoni is now home to elephants, tigers, deer, and a wide diversity of species and trees. His incredible story was captured in the short award-winning documentary Forest Man.

He's continued his work in another part of the world, collaborating with a non-profit in Mexico on environmental projects in that country.

Imagine if each of us took a small piece of the Forest Man's story and kept it in our hearts every day. What could our world be like?
