Russia killed Ukrainian volunteer Olha Kuzmenko, along with the animals Olha was caring for.

Olha chose to stay in the frontline town of Druzhkivka, Donetsk region. She refused to leave because of the animals - Olha spent her days feeding them and helping with their evacuation to safer areas.

Yesterday, while Olha was feeding the animals, a Russian guided aerial bomb hit the area and killed Olha along with them.

RIP, Olha. We are losing our best people.

When I heard about Senator Graham’s death last night, the first thing I thought about was not all the things he said and did in service of Donald Trump. I thought of the time before Donald Trump when he was a brother to Senator John McCain.

A time when senators from different parties could fight about politics and still be friends. A time when a conservative Republican from South Carolina could say of my father: “If you can’t admire Joe Biden as a person, you’ve got a problem. He’s the nicest person I’ve ever met in politics. As good a man as God ever created.”

That is the Senator Graham I will remember today. Not because I have forgotten what came after. Because in that memory there is hope. Hope for a country where brothers can fight like hell over policy and still share a meal, and a laugh, and the loss of the people they love.

I will choose to remember the time before Trump. Because I believe in an America after Trump.

Russia strikes Kharkiv every single day.

​I rarely write about it anymore. Not many people seem to care, and the news outlets never mention it. Posting about it feels like screaming into a void. If Russia can kill 30 people in a capital city full of journalists without any global outrage, who is going to care about a destroyed gas station and a single life lost in Kharkiv?

​Yet, they keep launching all kinds of drones and missiles at us. They strike Kharkiv several times a day, destroying our homes, injuring our people, and often killing them. I just wanted you to know.

During the overnight attack on Kyiv, none of the six Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles fired by Russian troops from the Bryansk region were shot down.

The reason: Ukraine lacks sufficient interceptor missiles.

This is Helena in 2022 in Zolote when she was a private and in 2024 in Zaporyzhya when she was a lieutenant, in a car you guys helped get to her.

She served for 3 and a half years and was injured several times.

Now she is asking me to help her guys in one of the recon teams of the 15th brigade get a couple of mini Starlink kits.

They are now in Pokrovsk where they've been holding the line since fall 2024 - the place russia said it was days away from conquering over a year ago.

The 15th fought hard to make the invaders pay.
