My kid just had his first insect sting that hurt a lot and caused his finger to swell. Googled, iced, medicated like 3 ways, talked to school nurse, asked him 100 times if he was breathing ok, killed a wasp. He's fine. But I'm ready for a hug and a good-job-being-brave lollipop.

I giggled reading a Georgette Heyer. My son asked what was funny. Distracted by my book I said quickly it was a joke with "old timey" language that would take a bit to explain. His response, "What, like 'why did ye olde chicken cross ye olde road?'" He makes me laugh the best. 💚
