This is going to be such a long shot but I would really really like to get some scrim practice under my belt in preparation for my goal of playing in EMEA Game Changers in the coming years (fingers crossed).
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it!
@Xzism_ On PC it feels insane. I’m totally out of practice with a pad and had a stronger performance than I get on Mouse and Key which I use every day. If I can do that within the first 15 minutes of picking up my controller, the full time rolla boys are gonna be unstoppable.
Playing MW3 in core with a mouse and keyboard is unbearable. Saying aim assist is overtuned would be an understatement. I plugged a pad in for the first time in 7 years and the game played itself. Insane snap on and tracking people through walls seems super fair.
Might pick this up in a sale somewhere down the line, but doubt it’ll be a launch day purchase for me this year. Maybe after the standard 5 month early access period that every new cod seems to have it’ll improve. Time will tell though. 6/10 and that’s purely for the OG maps.
Thoughts on MW3. Spawns are fucking awful, the worst I’ve seen in any shooter I’ve played so far. Enemies spawning behind you during gunfights or respawning already being shot at should never happen. Time to die in comparison to time to kill feels horrible as usual.
Another standard Sledgehammer call of duty experience. Disappointing netcode in a game that doesn’t really feel like a massive improvement from MW2. Their games always feel like a sidestep instead of a step forward ever since they made the original MW3.
Coupled with the fact that PC players are still forced to play against increasingly strengthening levels of aim assist on controllers, it all just feels a bit futile. Shame they didn’t include hardcore mode in the beta, would have probably improved my experience ever so slightly.
Putting 6-7 hitmarkers into a player who then returns 2 bullets and kills you feels horrible. This franchise has been around for 20+ years, how is this still a thing in every title? Guns in the beta were mid, only one worth using is the pistol conversion kit which says a lot.
I’ve got no problem with all that zoomer slide cancelling movement bullshit, but the way characters move on screen is fucking horrible. Character models ice skating around at 70 mph makes an already unpleasant shooting experience even worse.
@TSM_Break You’re getting to that age mate, might be worth giving the old girl a bit of a repair job. Save all those embarrassing stress wee’s when you go over a big jump on your bike.
Oh, and when I queue shoot the ship, please start the playlist with shipment more than once every 30 minutes. Bored of cancelling queue and rematching because it’s shoot house for the 400th time in a row.
@ReptarRB I had to play solo for 14 seasons and now I can’t even bring myself to load up the game. It’s the single most frustrating experience I’ve had in a video game. Damn shame as well, I love Apex, but I had to make a smart decision to preserve my sanity and move on.
@tryhardplaya@jakab_berry@Nokokopuffs Nah I appreciate there’s always going to be someone better, that’s life. But giving newer players the opportunity to play with friends without being bullied by players with 1000+ more hours in the game would massively help their learning curve.
@Nokokopuffs I’ve been solo queuing since season 1 when my friends got bored. When I’ve been able to convince them to come back, the strict SBMM even in pub matches means they get shit on and have 0 incentive to keep playing. The lack of LTM’s etc makes it worse as they can’t just have fun.
