"Hmm... I wonder about that."
Trude gave off an aberrant, otherworldly presence. She looked Mahad over with an unreadable expression.
"The so-called ultimate wizard... fufu, it's a tremendous honor to meet you in person."
Trude gave Quartz a gentle, motherly smile.
"I'm afraid you hail from a very different land than most. Humans like me... do not always agree on what is right."
@DarkMagicPAWT "Fufu, I'm not sure someone like you can... handle my magic."
She stepped a little closer, before gently taking DMG's chin in her fingertips. Cue a wink of her own.
"Your master should have warned you about witches like me, dear boy.~"
"Said you'd set her right with God and tried to teach her how.
Told her 'be a good girl', well she's stronger than you now.
Casting off the shackles to reject her given name.
The one who burns the witches always ends up in the flame.~"
@DarkMagicPAWT "Ah, right, the Dark Magician took an apprentice. Strange, I could have sworn his whelp was a woman..."
Trude put a hand on her hip and gave DMG a small, alluring smirk.
"In any case, it's quite an honor to meet you. I am Frau Trude, but it seems you already knew that."
@DarkMagicPAWT "Hm? Yes, can I help you?"
Trude was so caught up reminiscing she didn't notice she had company.
"Mm. You look familiar, but I can't quite place it..."
Trude gripped Elis' fist in her palm, and steam erupted from the contact. Elis could feel it burning the witch's skin, and she growled in response.
"I won't be lectured by you!"
Through the harsh burning, Trude lifted Elis by her fist and attempted to whip her into the ground.
"For every real witch you savages burn, dozens of innocents are cut down beside her."
Trude glared back, briefly snarling under her breath.
"And unfortunately for you, one also got away."
"You crusader types are all the same."
Trude dropped the sword as well - then stepped closer.
"Say a few Hail Marys and you can justify the worst atrocities. Slay heretics one day and claim to be heroes the next. The axe forgets, dear, but the tree remembers."
"No, of course not. Unlike you lot, I've no qualms about what I do."
Elis' sword began to vibrate again, before she felt it begin to heat up - to a dangerous degree, the blade beginning to glow red under Trude's fingertips.
Trude's expression calmed down, and she angled Elis' sword up to aim at the witch's neck.
"Perhaps she saw through this farce. Your patron is no different from my own, after all. Far worse than I could do alone has been done in your lord's name, no?"
"Fufu, worry not. I haven't hurt a hair on her head."
Her smirk spread, and her pupils appeared to shrink in manic glee.
"Irene has made a fine apprentice, I assure you."
"Yes, but, doesn't it seem strange to you, that I encountered one of your kind..."
Trude calmly placed a hand on Elis' blade to help her steady it, aiming it at Trude's own heart.
"-and I'm still here?"
"Put that thing away, girl. You'll poke your eye out quivering like that."
Trude stopped at the extent of Elis' sword's range.
"You know, you aren't the first member of Lilium I've encountered."
Something about Trude felt deeply wrong. Aberrant, ancient, and evil.
"Mm, I wonder about that.~"
Trude took a step closer, a small smirk forming on her face.
"You look positively rattled. Surely a woman of God has nothing to fear, no?"
