I help tech startups with investor pitching and storytelling | Hosting "How to Sell Your Vision" podcast on Spotify | Scaled Brands and Startups to Over $200M
I had a prospect coming in the other day who said, Moti, I get the idea behind the pitch cycle and focusing on the process transformation rather than my product.
but…
What I am afraid of is that investors expect us to follow a template.
My answer in the video below ⤵
Since I launched my agency, I have worked with many founders looking to raise money.
They are all tired of working with consultants telling them they must follow a template for their investor pitch.
One of the techniques I am using is reverse pitching.
All the details below!
Starting off the day with some great news.
I've been recognized as one of the top writers on the start-up topic on Medium.
I only started writing on Medium a month ago, and it feels great to see the flux of amazing responses, likes, comments, and shares on my articles.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of hosting an event for 20 entrepreneurs and business leaders from the Bergen Tech Community.
We discussed storytelling and how it can impact your pitch outcome both in business and in investor pitching.
It was great seeing everyone!
That’s a tough pill to swallow, but the pitch deck template is dead. ❌
If you want to keep your investors hooked, avoid the pitch deck template and start thinking in terms of the pitch cycle.

Here’s my advice to anyone struggling to define their company’s purpose. ⤵
Ask yourself this: what’s the process that’s driving the problem I’m trying to solve?
The process drives the purpose.
The market problem you’re trying to solve didn’t come out of thin air.
Something is creating that problem.
The problem and solution are how you monetize the existing process.
The purpose is to eliminate or improve the process that is creating the problem.
