We recently honored Alexander Gordon and Venson Roberson with Saved by the Helmet awards at the Dayton Blessing of the Bikes. Both survived serious crashes thanks to their helmets. Their stories remind us how crucial helmet use is for every rider on Ohio’s roads.
This weekend, MO gave Hunter Dietz a Saved by the Helmet award at the Mentor Public Library. In 2025, he survived a head-on crash at 35 mph with no head trauma thanks to his helmet. We’re proud to honor his resilience and highlight the life‑saving importance of wearing a helmet.

As peak motorcycle riding season gets underway, Motorcycle Ohio partnered with the U.S Air Force for National Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month with a safety rally and presentation.

Motorcycle Ohio partnered with SAFE Delaware to recognize John Hawse as our latest “Saved by the Helmet” recipient. After a 2025 crash threw him 40 feet, John survived thanks to his helmet. MO honors riders like John to highlight the life-saving value of helmets.

We presented “Saved by the Helmet” awards at Sidney’s Blessing of the Wheels event this weekend. 16-Year-Old Gage Thiel of Upper Sandusky was riding with his 14-year-old brother Dalton in Wyandot County in March. They struck a deer and were thrown from the motorcycle.
