@L_BHAFC@MikeKing14_ Won't happen.
Barber said Chelsea are our best customer and he's actively encouraged it by saying that and was celebrating the finances of it.
I've just accepted it at this point. It's win/win for Chelsea, the transfer strengthens them and weakens us.
@Reds1967_LFC@DuxVul2 They wouldn't under your watch though right? You don't like benefits. They got dealt a duff card through no fault of their own - fuck em.
Pull the ladder up Jack, I'm alright.
@Reds1967_LFC@DuxVul2 You seem to believe all people in council housing and on benefits don't work. That's a lie. Wages are so piss poor and rents are so high you can be in full time work and claim universal credit.
@Reds1967_LFC@DuxVul2 And what if they have no parents or family? You're giving crazy examples. So what about a hard working couple who don't have family members they can move in with? One has lost their parents and the other one is a child of a big family with no room for them?
@Reds1967_LFC@DuxVul2 Who are you talking about? I initially came from a council estate and I've never in my life known people to have 5 kids at 15 nor do I know anyone getting a big house for free. Someone has convinced you a boogeyman that doesn't exist exists and you're mad at it.
@Reds1967_LFC@DuxVul2 It's not though.
In 1984 buying a house was 3.6 times the average salery but today it's 8.2 dropping from the peak of 9.5 in 2022.
You can blame lifestyles but the numbers don't lie.
@Reds1967_LFC@DuxVul2 Every single private renter is like this are they? You've chosen the most obscure and unlikely example you could and want me to defend it.
40% of welfare payments are to people in work. 55-58% goes to pensions. You want me to defend the 2-5% when I'm talking about the 40%?
@Reds1967_LFC@DuxVul2 I don't blame landlords for everything at all.
I believe there does have to be an amount of private landlords in the market for flexibility. Private renting should be a choice and currently it isn't for many many people.
@Reds1967_LFC@DuxVul2 Who said I voted Labour? Does my opinion on private renting make me a leftist?
Adam Smith, the Godfather of capitalism was a huge critic of landlords. You can be right wing and dislike economic parasitism (his words, not mine).
@Reds1967_LFC@DuxVul2 "I don't like people who blame others"
"This is what's wrong with this country" and immediately blames others.
I'll say it again. I'm not a victim of the private rental market, I have a mortgage.
I'm not a victim and don't consider myself as such. Your tenants are.
@Reds1967_LFC@DuxVul2 Why are you so angry?
"full of hot air and shit" like I have the opportunity to save the hundreds of thousands of homeless people but I'm choosing not to.
This is a national problem, not something I can solve by housing a homeless person.
@Reds1967_LFC@DuxVul2 I'm beginning to feel sorry for you aswell in fairness and I do genuinely mean that.
It's not normal to be this angry at people who have less than you. You were born in a prosperous time and reaped the rewards and look how bitter you are.
@Reds1967_LFC@DuxVul2 You do know no matter how many times you say something it doesn't make it true.
I don't envy you. I find you exploiting the shortage of a human's necessity for shelter to line your own pockets morally reprehensible.
@Reds1967_LFC@DuxVul2 Just also quickly.
The unemployment rate now is much lower than when you were 18. Suggesting everyone today is lazy is for the birds.
@Reds1967_LFC@DuxVul2 When you were 18 it would've been around 1984 where the price to earning ratio was 3.6 to 4.0 percent where today it's 7.6 to 7.7.
That's before you take into account the extortionate rents.
@Reds1967_LFC@DuxVul2 You're literally holding 20% of the housing market ransom on threat of homelessness. That's not a choice.
And I've not suggested I'm morally commendable but the fact you think my arguments seem so shows you know exactly what you're doing.
