So many people who vote Green are good people who want to do what they think is best for the world. Like most people I have always given them a vote somewhere. Having watched the impact they have had on Government as the minor party, I will never throw my vote around so freely again. The depth of experience outside of politics is just not there with parties like the Greens. They are idealogues, in this case, dangerous ones. Anyone voting for parties like this need to look long and hard and assume they are voting for a Ministerial appointment, because in the next election, that is the likely scenario.
The impact that Eamonn Ryan,Roderic O’Gorman and Catherine Martin have had has been quite extraordinary. We will be living with the consequences for a long time. It’s a shade of extremism that is rarely examined.
Gloriously competent in achieving their own aims, gloriously incompetent ateverything else. Not in any way benign.
Remember Little Red Riding Hood the next time you give a vote because one of the “nice” people asked you for it.
