Fourth year student at Australian Catholic University studying a Bachelor of Primary Education. Passionate about teaching Maths and Religion in the classroom
Completing my EDFD452 Digital Portfolio allowed me to look back on all my previous practicums and the artefacts I’ve collected and compiled over the years! 🤩 Feeling grateful to have had such great and insightful experiences so far! Looking forward to my final prac 😌 #acuedu_p
Despite being in my fourth year of my course, I’m still learning how to:
•Effectively differentiate for all students
•Use different tools to reward good behaviour, and
•Create engaging activities in order to drive student learning

I attended my sister's parent teacher interviews this past week and I had the chance to observe how crucial it is for teachers to form an open and positive relationship with the parents of their students. This is a goal of mine I'd like to achieve early on in my career. #acuedu_p
"We fall. We break. We fail. But then, we rise. We heal. We overcome." - Valarie Johnson
It's important to remind our students and encourage them not to give up, no matter what. This'll help them build strength & confidence surrounding their learning in the classroom. #acuedu_p
I love this Instagram account so much that I began printing out some of the quotes on this page ! I plan to laminate the quotes and create a booklet 🤩❤️ #acuedu_p
This is so important for teachers to notice! Growth and development can look so different for all our students. As teachers, we should recognise this and praise students for their improvements to give them more confidence. #acuedu_p
Loving how this looks Bianca! 🤩 I’ve got a storage similar to this but it’s more hidden in my room, I’d love to invest in one which I can easily access. Thanks for sharing :) #acuedu_p
I went to Kmart, bought this storage box for $8 and began organising useful tools🤩 to prep for placement!
- Stamps, stick notes
- sensory items (stress ball & pop it)
- stickers
- stationary
- Colourful paper
- ribbon
✨And much more ✨ Feeling very organised #acuedu_p
Something I am interested to know more about relating to my transition to the profession is how I can continue to improve and keep my content relevant to the curriculum with effective lessons/activities I can differentiate!
#acuedu_p
Something significant I have discovered during EDFD452 about my transition to the profession is the fact that not all teachers will know the answer to the questions that their students ask them and this is okay!
#acuedu_p
I love this little storage space! You’ve inspired me to store all my little stationery pieces in a space like this 🤩 Thanks for sharing @danirdrysdale#acuedu_p
I have just finished spray painting, labelling and filling my teacher tool box 🤩 I purchased the box and paint from Bunnings, and all of the supplies are from officeworks & Kmart 🎨🌟 Definitely recommend one of these for when you get your own classroom space 📚 #acuedu_p
I love seeing improvements like this, especially in students who usually struggle or find a certain task challenging. Always such a good feeling seeing this 😌 #acuedu_p
🤩Proud Teacher Moment of the Day🤩
Student who has additional needs and usually doesn’t write very much at all wrote a full reflection on Holy Week: 2 whole pages! So proud! All thanks to some key phrases on the board, positive encouragement and some 1 on 1 time. #acuedu_p
Cannot wait to begin implementing activities/lessons about Holy Week into my future classes - it looks like such an engaging and enjoyable experience for both teachers and students :) #acuedu_p
Holy Thursday: Our schools have commemorated #HolyWeek beautifully, with reenactments of Palm Sunday, the Stations of the Cross, the Last Supper and the Washing of the Feet.
I love this challenge! It’s so fascinating to see what students who are only in K-1 can do at such a young age. I’d love to try this in my future lessons with older students as well ☺️ #acuedu_p
THE KINDNESS CHALLENGE ✨This is an activity I planned for students where they were challenged to write as many things they could think of about kindness. It was so interesting to see how students work together and share ideas with each other, and they’re only in K-1!! #acuedu_p
Definitely agree with this! Throughout my previous experiences teaching at schools, I’ve found it so interesting how different each school has been despite them all being so diverse and inclusive. #acuedu_p
It is so fascinating stepping into different schools and noticing how drastically the environment, student numbers and diversity, learning structure and the teaching approach is. It is very beneficial for my teaching journey #acuedu_p
Something I think is extremely important when teaching is time management! This'll allow a teacher to connect with each student and learn about their interests as well as areas they excel in & need improvement in; therefore creating lessons directed towards those areas. #acuedu_p
After learning more about Code of Conduct, I can say that I’ll continue to refer back to this document; especially in my early years of teaching.
This will assist me in my relationships with staff and students and how to manage these in a professional manner.
