After more than a decade of recording my own projects, I'm excited to officially open my own studio at my home in South Asheville!
I'm offering an introductory rate of $200 / day of studio time, and if you record with me the mix is on the house.
@blackmetalDave Dude, amen. AI should handle the tedious stuff like editing, not make terrible art.
You doing the Machine trick of slightly panning and pitching the left/right kicks?
Seriously, he rocks. Absolutely recommend contacting @MountainsizeMe if you wanna take your material to the next level. I couldn’t have done it without him!
Worked on this beast of an album and it's finally out!
It's heavy, proggy, blackened post-hardcore. Lyrics about dark fantasy and reality. Like if Protest the Hero got into Lovecraft.
I laid down some unhinged drum parts, sang on a few songs, played bass, and mixed the album.
"Cataclysmia" is OUT NOW
9 tracks of crazy ass heavy progressive metal goodness... listen to it! I'm really proud of it!

Thanks @RGMMAGAZINE!
In case you were busy with that other thing that happened yesterday, our collaboration with @the_welcoming dropped. There's a music video! https://t.co/nAgn7PRo86
I'm sure you've found yourself wondering "how would The Welcoming sound if they had a better lead singer and tuned their guitars really low?"
Today we answer that question! Our latest collaboration with @olivedaresthed1 is out on all streaming platforms now.
I am beyond excited to announce my new album, Cataclysmia, will release on Jan 31.
I'll be releasing this under the name Gnarlmyth.
If you'd like to pre-order the album you can do so here: https://t.co/7cYmRcyHI4
You can check out my lead single, Departure, right here.
Huge shoutout to @MountainsizeMe who handled the mixing of this album, tracked the drums and bass, and provided backup vocals.
He's the best, I absolutely recommend him and I really enjoyed working with him.
And listen to those drums, man. There's some really challenging material on this album, and I didn't hold back when writing the drums at all because I planned to program them, but he took it all on and brought it to life.
Not to mention, he's located in Asheville and was dealing with Hurricane Helene while we were knee deep in the recording process. I watched him spring into action to help out his community.
If you have music you want to take to the next level, contact James!!
I worked on 2 releases on this compilation! There's one by @the_welcoming obviously, and another song from an unreleased Call The Next Witness album that I mixed earlier this year.
Go pick up the compilation if you haven't already. $10, lots of great music, very good cause!
Between the hurricane destroying Asheville and the absurd choice our country made last week, it's been extra hard to muster the energy to try and get people to care about our music.
But here's a big positive thing that we're a small part of (thread):
