As we can see on the graphic the temperature in the mountains has been rising at an alarming rate, peaking a bit under 2.5 degrees in 2014. To prevent that from happening again we must act now.

With climate change due to man, the mountain are seing it's effects with them crumbling as climate change is more pronouced with +2c° in only a century. This week 35 000m3 of rock crumbled a number never seen before.

The Mer de Glace in the French Alps has lost ~800 m in length & ~150 m in thickness since 1900.
It now retreats ~40 m & thins ~5 m each year.
