Aptos just shipped the first production L1 Encrypted Mempool that actually stays decentralized.
No TEEs. No external committees. No new trust assumptions.
Validators order blocks while completely blind to your payload, then decrypt together using the exact same 2/3 stake threshold already required for consensus. Opt-in, per-transaction, only ~27 ms overhead.
This is the paper that made it practical: https://t.co/23f8HJ6Zq3
What an amazing research result made into production.
Live on mainnet.
Yes, blockchain coordinated infra can match cloud performance.. Shelby private beta is humming along and have already done a sustained load of
> 1000 requests/sec
> 1-2 TB/Hour/customer
Barely making a dent in total system capacity.
Shelby is built for workloads where:
→ compute moves between locations, providers or environments;
→ data is collected, processed or trained in different places;
→ new compute creates more staging, copying or pipeline work;
→ the same dataset needs to serve multiple workloads.

Three layers of confidentiality. All live on Aptos mainnet.
• Identity layer: Keyless Accounts
• Amounts layer: Confidential $APT
• Intent layer: Encrypted Mempool
Each one is opt-in, and each one addresses a different part of what's visible onchain.
Now is the time to get excited about blockchain applications. Secure, confidential, scalable, and reliable infrastructure for payments and trading.
Every major financial institution is discussing commercialization. TSVs, based on the new @SECGov guidance, will leverage our modern stack for new use cases, adoption, and revenue. Libra's original mission was payments at scale, and @Aptos has made the rails the best way to move stables and trade in the world.
Over the past 8 years, we've built the best financial infra, and with pilots underway and AI building the scaffolding instantly, that journey has entered the next phase of commercialization.
Seoul takeaway:
Traders move fast from access to sophistication.
Cross-venue arb. Algorithms. Market data over commentary.
That's who Decibel is built for.
Simple to enter. Built to go deep.
Banger mostly contributed morale.
Shelby Private Beta is now running real customer workloads.
We're starting with a small group of teams across enterprise AI, spatial intelligence and distributed rendering.
What we learn together will shape what comes next ↓
Confidential & decentralized technology is growing rapidly in adoption.
Confidential assets (e.g., confidential $APT) are live today in @Aptos. No one can track the volume and it’s just as fast as a normal asset transfer.
Confidential orders are now live with the encrypted mempool. Avoid front running or other malicious MEV.
Confidential orderbooks at CEX speed on a decentralized platform is the next frontier. We are working on this quickly!
Introducing MonoMove, Aptos' new execution engine and the biggest scalability upgrade in network history.
Moving global markets onchain takes a new standard of speed and safety. MonoMove delivers both, executing the smart contracts behind every onchain market up to 55x faster.
Money is moving onchain. Aptos has the engine to run it.
MonoMove is IMHO the biggest leap forward in smart contract development to date.
In the past, decentralized finance meant compromising user experience - slower, more expensive, and much more prone to security risks.
MonoMove is a complete redesign of how smart contract platforms should be designed. Built on the hard-learned lessons of 8+ years of Move development, production workloads are nearly 10x faster in @DecibelTrade. Numerous Move micro-benchmarks perform up to >50x faster. And its new architecture is inherently safer by design and more formally verifiable.
As I've said before, commercialization of decentralized finance is finally upon us. Large industry partners want to build on the most performant and secure systems available and bring their users to new markets. MonoMove is next-gen architecture for finance.
Introducing MonoMove: the rebuilt @Aptos execution engine and the largest performance upgrade since mainnet.
Markets onchain need scale and safety. MonoMove is built for both.
The Move code behind every order, loan, and payout executes up to 55x faster. Parallelism is not even switched on yet.
Heads up, builders: Aptos Testnet resets tomorrow, Oct. 7.
Testnet has processed 10B+ transactions, more than Mainnet. Under AIP-147, it now resets to a fresh genesis as needed, no more than once every six months, and always with at least a month's notice.
Mainnet is unaffected. What builders need to know from @AptosLabs:
In Korea, some fans see the same production again and again.
@Daehongofficial, a Lotte Group affiliate, built L.TICKET for them: performances, exhibitions, and leisure, bookable in one place.
Ticket issuance records are headed to Aptos.
: : [New Network Onboarding] FP Validated Has Officially Joined the Aptos Validator Set!
Backed by institutional-grade infrastructure, we look forward to supporting @Aptos as it scales global payments and onchain finance 💪👇
APT staking is now available on @BithumbOfficial.
Bithumb is also hosting a staking campaign during the launch period. Eligibility, terms, and how the campaign works are outlined on Bithumb: https://t.co/YxbTUORcji
A quantum computer could break the signature that proves an account is yours. Given the public key, it could recover the private key and sign as the owner.
AIP-137 would let accounts opt in to post-quantum signatures, once enabled via governance, without moving assets.
Confidential compliant assets with $APT is the latest in a long line of industry firsts:
* First production deployment of Block-STM
* First production L1 with <25ms block times
* First L1 with native orderless transactions using expiring nonces
* First L1-native encrypted mempool with no additional trust assumptions
* First DAG-BFT architecture combining pipelining + leader reputation
* First production deployment of Move Prover formal verification
* First full stack onchain exchange that can match the performance of centralized crypto exchanges.
* First AI storage that can support sub-second global access
Aptos tech is built different.
