Sony Pictures has acquired the live-action film rights to D’ORC! Deadline has the exclusive, and creator Brett Bean is attached to adapt it for the screen. The bestselling series sold out its first issue before release and is now on its 8th printing, so the D’ORC army just got a whole lot bigger. Don’t wait for the movie. Volume 1 is out now in trade paperback, and Volume 2 hits comic shops this December.

@2dbean Wow! In the D'ORC feature I published I said "I could see this easily expanding into toys, video games, animated series, or dare I dream... a puppet based series in similar style of the Henson company's Magic: The Gathering Lorwyn Eclipsed trailer." 🙏 https://t.co/pNHPhRtOBA

I wonder if it’s a misunderstanding of the intent of the film. It seems some people don’t understand the humor. The mocking of how stupid the he-man cartoon was, are some of my favorite parts. Hilarious. Those that haven’t seen the old cartoon might assume the film is being serious and roll their eyes. The reasons for the corny names is so creative, and the inclusion of Earth was done well. I am in my 50’s, and was a huge He-man fan, I still own all the toys I had since I was in grade school. I was expecting a terrible film, but it seems the writers knew that, so they wrote it in a way to not take it so serious, just have fun with it, very successfully done in my opinion. I’m going to see it again.

First in line on day one at Brett Bean's @2dbean table at @MegaConOrlando to pick up a sketch cover and some signed copies of the fantastic D'ORC comic! See him all this weekend in the artist alley if you're at the show.

It seems almost impossible to think that a missing item you paid an upcharge for in an @UberEats order would somehow not be eligible for a refund, but UE finds a way.

Over the moon excited to announce the newest DC Studios/Warner Bros Pictures Animation greenlit film for theaters, DYNAMIC DUO, the story of Robin… or should I say, Robins, as in Dick Grayson and Jason Todd. The first feature film from the visionary Swaybox, a mix of animation, puppetry, and CGI, a script from the wonderfully talented Matt Aldrich, produced with our partners at Matt Reeves’ 6th & Idaho. This is something special.
