Rafah is one of the most densely populated places on earth, teeming with children and families, some already displaced many times by war in Gaza.
Of the 1.3 million people seeking shelter, 600,000 are children.
They have nowhere safe to go.
They must be protected.
Many Child Maintenance recipients are survivors of domestic abuse & perpetrators often refuse to pay as part of post-separation control.
I welcome changes to better enforce payments & look forward to working with government to see what more can be done.

Where's the outcry from UK feminists, or do Palestinian women's lives not count? A video from Middle East Eye shows a Palestinian woman being shot by Israeli forces in Gaza City. She and others were desperately trying to escape the area, waving white flags.

“But where are the voices of our most vocal feminists? Too busy banging on about biological womanhood? Here are some bloody facts: menstruating girls and women in Gaza have no sanitary towels; thousands of mothers are giving birth out in the open, without care or medical assistance; babies are born dead or die soon after; according to Gazan authorities, Israeli actions have killed around 11,000 children” by @y_alibhai https://t.co/Ly9ZeGr0Wv
If you don’t support Netanyahu, if you are disgusted by the countless lifeless children being pulled out of the rubble, if you actually believe in upholding human rights and international law—vote no on a blank check to Netanyahu's genocide.
After 5 years of litigation in the family court, the application by former MP + minister Andrew Griffiths, fought by his ex-wife Kate Kniveton MP, for contact with their child has been refused. My @tortoise report is now out, judgment link to follow - https://t.co/qvrv42tRZi

In Gaza, babies are born on the ground in the wilderness, umbilical cords cut with whatever sharp object there is to hand, and tins filled with hot water keep the newborn warm.
