But since we know what she wants, this scene then should present some more conflict towards getting that goal. There’s no real issues it seems with her throwing the drink in his face, she happens to catch the gun and get the upper hand etc.

We aren’t really surprised she makes this decision. If her character was in doubt throughout the story as to if she wanted to be submissive or liberated at this point and we don’t know if she’ll go back to her old life and THEN she makes that decision it’s a powerful moment.

If you’re casting Chalamet it seemed as if he and noodle should have been same age and we could have seen romantic, manic pixie dream boy Wonka trying to make it big and along the way he helps out Noodle, develops a romance but by the end of the movie she leaves
