Fox’s cancelled X-Force movie was going to feature Stryfe — Cable’s evil clone — as the main villain, according to Rob Liefeld.

Liefeld revealed the project had a completed script by Drew Goddard, who was set to both write and direct, with Josh Brolin reprising Cable and also playing Stryfe in a dual role.

He says Kevin Feige personally shut the project down once he took over the X-Men franchise post-Disney acquisition.

• The greatest sorcerer alive somehow botching a spell and creating a global catastrophe.

• The climax hits emotionally, but the writing propping it up is shaky at best.
