An American Werewolf in London (1981)
The first horror movie to win an Oscar (for best make up).
Plot: Two American college students are on a walking tour of Britain when they are attacked by a werewolf whose existence is consistently denied by the locals.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
Best horror film of all time!
It all started here.
Plot: Five friends head out to rural Texas to visit the grave of a grandfather. On the way they stumble across what appears to be a deserted house, only to discover something sinister within. Something armed with a chainsaw.
🎬 What’s Opera Doc? (1957)
A true masterpiece!
Plot: Elmer Fudd is again hunting rabbits - only this time it's an opera. Richard Wagner's Siegfried with Elmer as the titular hero and Bugs as Brunnhilde. They sing, they dance, they chew the scenery.
One story that stuck in my mind from his lecture: he said the coyote falling off the cliff, then the 2 second pause after he disappeared in the distance before the faint “pop” was an accident by the sound engineer. They all laughed so hard in the screening room that Chuck insisted it stay in as is. It became a staple of Roadrunner cartoons after that! 😂

@JasminLaine I feel for Carney. He was let down by his own party. He got the best deal but his party didn’t like it. Master negotiator couldn’t get alignment within the party. He had to withdraw to stay in power. It’s not about the country , it’s about power dynamics.
@TiptonLisa73956 I met Chuck Jones in college on his lecture tour. He presented several of his cartoons (including this one) and told the stories behind their creation.
Fascinating stuff!
@JohnJones166189 I owned all of the original comics from the 60s. Loved how this series used a lot of the original stories. Nice to see them animated and directed so well!
🎬 Spider-man: The Animated Series (1994-1998)
Opening Theme
The Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man comes to life in this cult-classic from the 1990s; bringing iconic original comic book stories to life ranging from The Symbiote Saga to Secret Wars. One of Marvel Animation's crowning achievements: Spider-Man: The Animated Series.
