We see David defeating Goliath as the great victory; that’s when God took him to a new level. But the real victory took place in his mind—when he didn’t let Saul’s demeaning words keep him from stepping up.
Don’t let the doubt from other people keep you from your destiny. You have to tune out all the negative: can’t do it, too big, not able, never going to happen, limiting words. They may speak that, but you don’t have to receive it.
This week, @vp hosted over 1,000 student athletes from all over the country.
These athletes represent the best of us.
Congratulations to these @ncaa national champions!
How much time are you wasting offended, upset, letting difficult people steal your joy? It’s time to get focused. Tune out all of the negative and run your race with purpose.
The things you’ve been through, they weren’t fun. You were uncomfortable, but it wasn’t God just making you suffer. Those times deposited something on the inside. Everything you’ve been through was necessary for where God is taking you.
Don’t go through life beating yourself up, thinking about everything you’ve done wrong, dwelling on your mistakes and failures. The moment you asked God to forgive you, He forgave you.
God is looking for stubborn faith. Anyone can give up; anyone can get discouraged. If you’re going to reach your destiny, you have to make up your mind that you’re going to stand no matter what comes against you.
Quit living worried about your health, your finances, how you could accomplish that dream. God has not brought you this far to leave you. He’s taken care of you in the past; He’s going to take care of you in the future.
Congratulations to @LSUwbkb on a thrilling victory and their first national championship. There’s a lot to celebrate in Baton Rouge, from a new “Double-Double Queen” to a season for the ages.
When we see God’s favor, when He gives us the victory, brings us through tough times, causes us to defeat giants, let the first thing we do be to build an altar. Let us recognize His goodness and acknowledge His mercy.
You may be up against some big obstacles, but God is saying, “Am I not the God that parted the Red Sea? Am I not the God that closed the mouths of lions? Am I not the God that has brought you this far, that has protected you, promoted you, favored you?”
Sometimes you have to go through the pain to get to the purpose, through the weeping to get to the joy, through the struggle to get to the abundance. You keep being faithful and you’re going to see what God has been working on.
It’s not that God is not speaking to us; it’s that we’re too busy listening to others. You have to get rid of the wrong voices, then you’ll hear the right voices.
Tune into Joel’s message today, "Who's in Your Ear?" https://t.co/KpspxxmnN3
When those thoughts come, telling you what you can’t do—doubt, insecurity, lack, not enough—you have to consider the source. That’s the enemy. He’s been lying since the Garden of Eden. Don’t let him in your ear.
Certain people like to get you stirred up. They live off the drama. If you let them in your ear, you'll start dwelling on that, thinking about all the negative. You’ll end up disappointed, frustrated. What’s the problem? Wrong voices lead to wrong choices.
Just because we’re people of faith doesn’t mean we won’t have difficulties. You can be doing the right thing and come into trouble. The scripture says rain falls on the just and the unjust. The promise we have is not that trouble won’t come, but that the trouble won't last.
