Exhibitors: the new 10pm curfew - Cinema screenings which overrun are NOT affected. This has just been confirmed by the Secretary of State for Culture.

This will apply across a range of hospitality and leisure sectors including casinos

It will not apply to theatres and cinemas where performances may run over the 10pm deadline

The UK Cinema Association confirms that once in screening rooms, patrons are no longer required to wear a mask so they can indulge in refreshments. This has been confirmed by the DCMS.

@Cinema_UK pleased to confirm that while guests will be asked to wear face coverings in cinemas in England from this Saturday 8 August, once in the auditorium they will be able to remove them in order to enjoy food and drink.
