Sukuna didnt know how the 10S worked and still wanted Megumi as a vessel. his focus was never on Gojo, It was on getting a body that could house him without being a prison like Yuji was

[zee @MozartZod]

@johnpotisiujh @AmineZacks @Bronskilor @Noah70782428485 Doubt that, since Tengen was shocked that Kenjaku had an open-barrier de. The first thing she did was compare it to Sukuna's, implying that Kenjaku probably learned it much later and that she doesn't associate openbde with Kenjaku either

"You cant just change your domain handsign"
Sukuna can

"You cant just use DE and DA simultaneously"
Sukuna can

"You cant just use Shikigami abilities without summoning them"
Sukuna can

"You cant just watch an ever-adapting entity split existence and do the same"
Sukuna can

[Kami VI 🌒 @the6eyed]

Gojo before the fight: I'm not gonna hold back!
Kusakabe during the fight: He's not holding back!
Gojo after the fight: I didn't hold back!
Gojo fans: He obviously held back bro 🤦‍♀️

The difference between being your own standard and being the standard for others

Sukuna tells Jogo to aspire to Gojos heights, not his. Gojo is presented as a height to strive for. Sukuna doesnt even entertain the possibility of placing himself within that same frame of reference

[Sai @_Saigoh]

Live seeing people arrive to the conclusion that Sukuna did, in fact, have the ability to win without Mahoraga.

[Noah+extra words to use my 50 characters @Noah70782428485]

Sukuna’s Domain is the only one with 2 different simultaneous sure-hit effects, with those same sure-hit effects also carrying a distinct CE property (explosive).

“Divine” is an understatement

[Noah+extra words to use my 50 characters @Noah70782428485]

Sukuna has never needed nor has he ever concerned himself with titles. He couldn’t care less about them.

Any title, be it 'King of Curses', 'The Disgraced One', 'The Fallen', 'The Strongest in History' or even 'The Honored One' were simply given to him by others

[zee @MozartZod]

@pqzle @Noah70782428485 Not only that, Gojo also loses all the absurd perception benefits the Six Eyes provide. That means his ability to read CE flow, distinguish subtle changes, track techniques, and process information during combat with extreme precision and speed would be significantly worse

[zee @MozartZod]

@pqzle @Noah70782428485 Six Eyes do help a lot. Their benefits aren't limited to heavily CE-taxing CTs. They allow for atomic-level manipulation of CE, which let a sorcerer control and distribute their CE reinforcement with far greater precision by default, resulting in much higher-quality reinforcements

[zee @MozartZod]

@AdityaK55799953 @pqzle @Noah70782428485 Well Sukuna seems to be doing just fine whilst on burnout, without the six eyes

[Noah+extra words to use my 50 characters @Noah70782428485]

Moments like this, where Sukuna genuinely urges Yuta to give him his all and focus solely on killing him, before his fight, are what make him such a raw villain

[zee @MozartZod]

@pqzle @Noah70782428485 He still had six eyes, remove those and even Kusakabe might give him a hard time

A Domain Expansion is achieved through an overwhelming sense of self and represents the ultimate manifestation of a sorcerer’s ego.

Sukuna’s divine feat of achieving an Open Barrier is representative of his ability to project his sense of self onto the world.

Megumi’s incomplete domain represents his half-hearted sense of ego, his overwhelming sense of self isnt complete because he’s a selfless person, and its shown via his Domain buffing his Shikigami and technique. He has an emotional connection to his Shikigami and fights WITH them.

Yuji has no overwhelming sense of self. His Domain was achieved through an overwhelming sense of selflessness. His Innate Domain manifests as his home town, and requires manual activation of his sure hit because he believes in giving others a chance at redemption. He is compassionate and we literally get shown a buddha statue and his mudra is that of a boddhisatva who delays his own enlightenment to guide others to enlightenment.

His Domain doesnt need a name because it goes against the very nature of what a Domain is.

And this is expanded on in Modulo with his self-isolation and “old soldiers never die, they fade away”. He has no overwhelming sense of self, he echoes Gojo’s wish to be left behind because thats the role he gave himself. Its also why he vows to fully train the next generation, track down every HR lineage and turn himself into a Curses Object. His role is to guide others.

Thus his Domain doesnt require a name.

Cool character design aside, I’ve always loved the idea that the Ten Shadows represent animals, with Mahoraga representing humans and our ability to adapt to our circumstances.

Meguna’s character design was lowkey tuff as hell, ppl really slept on it 😭

[Noah+extra words to use my 50 characters @Noah70782428485]

The narrator implying Sukuna wasnt taking Gojo seriously untill the very end really puts Gojo saying “Sukuna wasn’t giving it his all” into perspective

Imagine giving it EVERYTHING just for your opp to only lock in for the last 15 secs. I’d have generational impostor syndrome 😭
