I am writing this with deep concern and disappointment. On 14 August 2026, I survived a serious incident in which, as stated in my FIR, a white/off-white GJ-06 Toyota Fortuner chased my vehicle, repeatedly struck it, and my vehicle ultimately overturned. FIR No.: 11206002260524 Despite the seriousness of the incident and my full cooperation, I am still waiting for meaningful investigative progress and clear answers. Within approximately 3 days, my family, relatives and friends identified information relating to around 20–30 CCTV recordings along the possible route. This raises a serious question: what immediate steps were taken by the investigating authorities to identify, preserve and examine crucial CCTV and other electronic evidence before it could be lost? I respectfully ask: Why has the actual vehicle/driver not yet been identified? What investigation was completed before the case was transferred to Mehsana SOG? Have all relevant CCTV footage, vehicle movement records, FASTag/toll data and other legally available technical evidence been preserved and examined? I survived this incident, but should authorities wait until another such incident results in someone’s death before the matter receives the urgency it deserves? Would the response have been different if the victim were the son or daughter of an influential person, senior officer or politician? I am NOT asking anyone to declare a person guilty without evidence. I am asking for a fair, independent, time-bound and evidence-based investigation. An ordinary citizen’s life deserves the same urgency, protection and justice as anyone else’s. I respectfully request the senior authorities of Gujarat to intervene, ensure an impartial investigation and provide a clear update on the progress of my case.
