BREAKING:
EXCLUSIVE LEAD:
Police have raided the property of a tobacco tycoon in Johannesburg.
He was a close associate to Mr Firoz Khan at some stage and his name featured at the Madlanga Commission.
The businessman also allegedly had links with taxi bosses previously.
It’s believed police executed a search and seizure warrant.
@eNCA
The only scandal in this story is the fact that @News24 is arguing that only ANC and government loyalists should be allowed to secure government contracts.
No corruption has been revealed. The only revelation is that @JacintaNgobese is, in fact, willing to jeopardise her income by taking a stand for what she believes in.
The apparent view held by News24 and others that government contracts and jobs should only be awarded to friends of the ANC-led government is exactly the kind of thinking that has led to the deterioration of service delivery.
As was the case with News24’s previous hit pieces against @afriforum, this hit piece against Jacinta and @MarchAndMarchSA lacks substance and further undermines what little credibility News24 may have left.
By tomorrow, you guys are going to wish that article had never happened. It's remarkable how absolutely disconnected you've become. Total own goal.
What you've proven:
1) Government's BBBEE system should be dismantled.
2) State procurement is a problem.
3) The taxpayers fund her - they'll be happy.
4) You're suggesting that doing work for the state doesn't allow you to participate in democracy.
5) You're getting dumber by the day
As long as she's delivering on the tenders and not looting the money, she must get more of them.
Thinking that tenderpreneur is a dirty word is ignorant and proof of a propaganda weak mind.
Many big companies get tenders. The qn is whether they deliver or not.
Jacinta puts South Africans first... I wonder who you put first.
No. When they reject them, they can appeal. And then they get given a permit. And with that permit, they are protected to live here for as long as the appeal process is underway. The issue is there is a backlog in appeals, meaning you can stay here 19 years or 19 months or whatever time, while your appeal is being processed.
The Directive from Home Affairs is withdrawn, the Constitutional Court Judgement IS NOT…
If we say we are a Democracy now is the perfect time to see it at play… The Constitutional Court and Parliament cannot be above the will of the people.
The Constitution must work for the Citizens if it doesn’t, then something must be fundamentally wrong with this “Democracy”
This is the time we call for parliament to call a referendum on the Constitution of SA and for South Africa to withdraw from the 1951 refugee convention because it simply does not serve the will of the people of this country.
What do you mean a South African child cannot get an ID because their parents died when they were young and they need to pay around R3,000 for DNA testing with a relative to obtain one, while a foreigner can simply get documentation for free?
Ok now it makes sense. This is why Eswatini spokesperson didn’t want to confirm if they travelled via South Africa. This lack of transparency is WILD.
The questions now are :
-Why wasn’t there transparency about how these people transited? The question was never about whether they are in SA. The issue was, did these dangerous criminals go via SA?
-Now that SA gov confirmed they flew through OR Tambo. The question is, How did they enter SA? Did they have the right papers? Did they go through immigration here in SA? Or did SA do Eswatini a favor? Just looking for clarity.
@ClaysonMonyela please help clarify?
Your husband is being charged with the rape of an 18 year old and the sexual grooming involving a 16 year old. He has denied the rape and claims it was consensual. There are damning sexual text messages with the 16 year old where your husband is alleged to have requested masturbation videos. As the wife, are you submitting an affidavit in court in support of him being granted bail?
WATCH: The protestors are now marching along Smith Street in Durban and singing a song saying “the country is ours, why there is even a dispute about that”.
