@HansTullmann @alicekeeler Money? Start with pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters and teach them to make 100 (explain that that is a dollar) or backwards with a dollar and break it down into smaller coins? I think that’s the most “real world” connection we may have for decimals.

I feel more confident with online learning and have essentially been coerced into using, regularly, tech that was more novelty (my own fault). But now getting more familiar and using it a lot more has given a better sense of possibility for when we get back in the classroom.
