But it turned into something bigger.
And somewhere in the haze, got a sense I'd been betrayed.
So we can plant a memory garden, and say a solemn prayer.
And maybe it was ego swinging, flashes of the battle coming back to me in a blur.
And maybe it's the past that's talking, screaming from the crypt, so I justified it.
